Overview
Welcome to The Lewisburg Dance Conservatory. The studio is located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and offers dance classes under the directorship of Jayme Klinger Host. We offer a diverse range of classes for all ages, and strive to be a center of creative activity for children, high school students, college students, community residents and professional dancers.
Mission
The Lewisburg Dance Conservatory provides a conducive learning environment which nurtures positive growth and development. Dance training enhances cognitive and physical development while teaching discipline, self confidence, and cooperative learning skills. Classes are taught with a holistic approach to learning, respecting each dancer’s individual development level and needs while stimulating creativity in a positive learning environment. Professionalism guides all lessons which are approached from an anatomically correct prospective, producing strong, technically intelligent dancers.
Jayme Klinger Host
Currently, Jayme Klinger Host is an Associate Professor of Dance at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. She previously taught for six years at Goucher College and at the Performing Arts Magnet High School, Carver Center for Arts & Technology in Baltimore, MD. 
As a dance educator, she is a two time grant recipient from the Maryland State Board of Education. She performed professionally, independently and with companies such as the Tandy Beal Dance Company in Tokyo, Japan, and toured Australia with Salt Lake City’s Performing Dance Company. She received her B.A. with Honors and Distinction in Dance: Performance & Choreography and Dance History & Criticism from Goucher College. She then attended the University of Utah on a fellowship, where she earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in Modern Dance, Phi Kappa Phi.
Her most recent choreographic commissions include the professional company, Momentum, of Panama, and the dance department at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her choreography has been performed at such venues as the Millennium stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and the National theatre in Panama City, Panama.
